MADE FOR ADVENTURE: H. MOSER & CIE. PRESENTS THE DUAL TIME HERITAGE MODEL

Neuhausen am Rheinfall, October 6th, 2021

Renowned watchmaker Heinrich Moser was also a wise entrepreneur and a visionary industrial pioneer. At the age of 22, he left his hometown of Schaffhausen and embarked on a perilous journey that led him to St. Petersburg. After becoming the go-to specialist for the aristocrats, he founded H. Moser & Cie., one year later, in 1828, building a factory in Switzerland. Heinrich shared his passion for traveling with his son Henri, born in 1844. This thirst for discovery, which would be a guiding force throughout their lives, inspired H. Moser & Cie. to create a watch with an adventurous spirit: the Heritage Dual Time model.

Boasting a bold steel look, the Heritage Dual Time is a beautifully rounded model with classic touches, inspired by Moser pocket watches and the early 20th-century models on show in the Moser museum in Schaffhausen. Its steel case features tapered lugs and a large notched crown. This resolutely classic model is reinvigorated with a brand-new Burgundy fumé dial, which also features the brand logo in transparent lacquer, like a secret signature. The traditional-style railway minute track appears in white to give a very modern contrasting result, while the sword-shaped hands are coated with Super-LumiNova®. The distinctive three-dimensional appliqué numerals use Globolight®, an innovative ceramic-based material that can assume any shape and any color, and contains Super-LumiNova®. This watch is built for adventure, as evidenced by the raw finish of its grey kudu leather strap.

At the heart of the Heritage Dual Time model beats the new HMC 809 self-winding caliber. This movement is equipped with the Dual Time function, thanks to the module developed entirely by H. Moser & Cie. on its self-winding Manufacture caliber. The grey hand indicates the dual time zone and can be hidden behind the main hour's hand when not in use, in line with the brand's constant pursuit of minimalism. The date is displayed in a well-proportioned window at 6 o'clock. It is connected to the dual time zone, for practical purposes. Powering this HMC 809 caliber with a three-day power reserve, the oscillating weight transfers the energy to the barrel via a bi-directional pawl winding system which reduces the time required to fully wind the watch.

Drawing a subtle line between tradition and modernity, between the past and the present, the Heritage Dual Time model represents H. Moser & Cie. to perfection: modern manufacture with a rich history dating back almost 200 years.

H. Moser & Cie.’s own and unique take on Haute Horlogerie.
